About me

Hi, I’m Laurie Wood, a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach dedicated to helping people create healthier, more balanced lives.

My professional journey has included many meaningful roles—from managing and developing employees to spending the past 15 years as an educator. Along the way, life experiences shaped my passion for health and wellness. As a mom to a young adult and the daughter of a once-vibrant mother now living with dementia, I have witnessed firsthand how deeply health impacts our quality of life. Those experiences inspired me to learn everything I could about living a long, vibrant, and healthy life.

I’m especially passionate about nutrition and the powerful connection between the mind and body. I believe true wellness happens when we care for both our physical and mental well-being. Practices like nourishing food, movement, and mindfulness can play a transformative role in how we feel every day.

Becoming a health coach felt like a natural next step. I love helping people make sustainable lifestyle changes that bring more balance, energy, and vitality to their lives. Together, we focus on small, meaningful shifts that support lasting well-being.

As your coach, my role is to support, guide, and empower you on your wellness journey. While I do not act in the capacity of a doctor, psychologist, personal trainer, or nutritionist, I partner with clients to help them build healthier habits and improve their overall well-being.

In addition to being a Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, I also hold a Functional Nutrition Expert Certification from the Mindbodygreen Institute.
